Day 3

Nati has a terrible habit of not listening at the Little Gym during his sports skill class. One the list of items worth 2 points is listening during classes (music, Little Gym, soccer, etc) that I have to pay a fee for him to participate. Our goal for the Little Gym is to ensure he sits during the class when appropriate, waits his turns, follows instructions, and stays at his station until it's time to switch. I reminded him of that yesterday in the morning, when he got in the car to go to class, and right before class started. He earned his 2 chips.

On the way home, we pass those golden arches and that prompted his hunger attack. I explained to him that he needed 15 tokens to get a happy meal. When he got home last night, he had 3 tokens from the day before. By the end of yesterday he'd earned 14 tokens. He asked to watch a cartoon. I reminded him he said he wanted a happy meal and that if he traded 5 of his tokens in, he wouldn't have enough. He played with his other toys and we read books instead.

This "token" thing sounds like it is working. Perhaps I should try this on my little one.
